Curriculum Evaluation
The Office of Educational Development (OED) is the collection point for student and faculty evaluation of courses, clerkships, and electives. Statistical analysis of the evaluations, student achievement, and historical comparisons are incorporated into reports supplied to the Curriculum Study Group for review and preparation of a final report to the Curriculum Committee.
In addition, the OED reports longitudinal analysis of our students’ USMLE performance (including individual disciplines and systems) and results of the AAMC Graduate Questionnaire to the Dean’s Staff and Curriculum Committee on an annual basis. OED analysis of curriculum effectiveness also includes periodic reporting of student success in the National Residency Matching Program and results of our graduates’ Residency Program Directors Survey. OED also contributes to the periodic reports required by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) and Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).
