John L. Montgomery History of Medicine Research Fellowship
The John L. Montgomery History of Medicine Research Fellowship for $1,500 is given to a fourth year student for research in history of medicine in London. The fellowship is in support of a fourth-year directed research elective in history of medicine (MHUM 986-301).
The course was initiated in 1999 and directed by Dr. G.A. Russell (Associate Professor in History of Medicine, Department of Humanities) in collaboration with the Wellcome Trust Centre for the History of Medicine in London, UK. It was made possible by the generous endowment in perpetuity by Dr. John Montgomery (former President of Scott and White Clinic).
