The "Round Rock", from which the city takes its name. |
Round Rock
Texas A&M Health Science Center is situated on a 50-acre campus in Round Rock, Texas, the fastest growing city in Texas and the second fastest growing county in the nation. High on the eastern edge of the Texas Hill Country lies an area of uncommon natural beauty, here, amidst lush wooded hills, abundant rivers and lakes, and prehistoric limestone cliffs, Round Rock has blossomed into a robust community.
Located less than 16 miles away from the state capital of Austin, Round Rock offers the unique combination of a small town community adjacent to all of the variety and opportunities of a large metropolitan city.

Texas A&M Health Science Center
The Texas A&M Health Science Center at Round Rock is the first building of a master planned campus for Texas A&M University. The building holds technology-rich educational and clinical spaces such as distance learning labs and networked lecture halls which coexist with “living room” style alcoves that encourage informal gathering for medical and nursing students.
The combination of traditional medical education spaces with partnerships with local hospitals and community health centers form the facility’s dual personality, which sets the stage for opportunities for medical students to have real-life learning scenarios and chances to provide services to the growing community of Round Rock. These varieties of spaces nurture an interactive learning community for students, faculty and researchers.
