EDUCATION - M2

In year two, students wee patients under clinician supervision in the required ambulatory care Preceptorship Program. One of the first "pre-clinical" patient care courses in the country, the course was founded in 1979 with the inception of the College of Medicine. One afternoon a week for seven months, students work in physicians' offices applying the history and physical exam skills they learned in first year. They refine their patient interviewing skills, learn more about clinical problem solving and information management. Clinical sites include suburban and rural settings.
