College Communications

The Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine Office of Communications is part of the Dean's Office at the College of Medicine. It works to highlight the activities of our faculty, students and staff, both locally and nationally , and serves as the information gateway to the programs, people, curriculum, basic science and clinical research that make us one of the leading medical institutions in the country.

The office provides assistance to the media when information about breaking medical news is requested or when stories such as cutting-edge technology or novel therapies are of public interest. The office also represents the accomplishments and initiatives of faculty and staff through communications to colleagues, alumni, community leaders and the general public.

For the Media
The following guidelines can assist media in arranging interviews, video sessions, or photo opportunities with College of Medicine newsmakers:
* Contact Summer Morgan in the Office of Communications to arrange all interviews with any faculty member by calling 979/862-4015 or email slmorgan@medicine.tamhsc.edu.
* Advance notice of on-site interviews is necessary so we can arrange a room for media interviews or photo shoots and line up appropriate sources for your story.
* We must accompany all film crews and photographers while on campus.
