Food Service Policy
Administrative Offices and Academic Units
The Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine has established the following policy and procedures for the proper use of the Reynolds Medical Building (RMB) lobby for any lunch, reception, or other function in which food is served. The purpose of this policy is to preserve the cleanliness and integrity of the lobby as an entrance to the College of Medicine. This is of particular importance now that the physical plant services for the RMB have been greatly reduced. This policy and these procedures are to be followed for all events where food is served in the RMB.
Policy
- Lunches, receptions, or any event serving food must be scheduled through the College of Medicine Office of the Dean.
- All administrative offices and academic units will receive priority over student groups for use of the lobby, and may displace student groups at any time.
- Only one group will be allowed to serve food in the lobby at a time.
- Food that is served in the lobby without prior approval will be removed.
Procedures
- Events at which food will be served in the lobby must be scheduled through the Office of the Dean at least two (2) weeks in advance of the event.
- The group responsible for serving food in the lobby is responsible for cleaning up the lobby within 30 minutes after completion of the event.
- Failure to do so will result in loss of privilege to serve food in the lobby for one year.
