Outstanding Staff Recognition

The Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine 2011 awards program is to recognize an outstanding staff member for their dedication, enthusiasm, accomplishments and contributions to the College.  Up to two award winners will be named and each receives a plaque of appreciation and a check for $1000.

ELIGIBILITY

Nominees must be full-time, budgeted staff members with at least two years uninterrupted service with the College of Medicine.  Full-time staff members whose primary responsibility is in support of the College of Medicine but who are paid through clinical affiliate contracts, are also eligible.  Such staff must also have two years of uninterrupted service for the College of Medicine.  Unit directors, deans, faculty, students and members of the selection committee are ineligible for the award.  Staff members are eligible to receive the award only once every five years.

NOMINATIONS

Any member of the faculty or staff in the College of Medicine may submit a nomination.
Deadline for nominations is December 6, 2011.

SELECTION CRITERIA       

Outstanding staff award recipients will be chosen based on statements justifying reasons why the individuals merit special recognition. Selection criteria include knowledge of job, team work, customer service, enthusiasm and dedication.

PRESENTATION OF AWARDS

Awards will be presented at a College of Medicine Holiday Reception in December.
