College of Medicine Professors to Present at TAOG Annual Meeting

Skip breadcrumb navigation AUSTIN, Texas (April 7, 2005) - Nine faculty members from the College of Medicine are acting as guest speakers at the 76th Annual Joint Meeting of the Texas Association of Obstetrics and Gynecology (TAOG) and Texas Section American College of OB/GYN (ACOG) this weekend in Austin.

Dr. Dudley P. Baker, College of Medicine professor and chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Scott & White Hospital in Temple, will head up the scientific program for the meeting and act as a speaker. OB/GYN faculty Drs. Bob Shull, Paul Yandell, Stephen Allen, Patricia Sulak, Thomas Wincek and William Rayburn will also be presenting. Additionally, Dr. Al Knight, president and CEO of Scott & White, and Dr. Veronica Piziak, College of Medicine professor in the Department of Internal Medicine and director of the Division of Endocrinology, are on the program faculty.

The 2005 program features speakers who are experts in the OB/GYN field from hospitals, medical schools and universities all over the country. Participants will have the opportunity to interact with the presenters and participate in round table discussions. The program focuses on updates in Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology, Urogynecology and Pelvic Surgery, and Clinical Practice Issues.

More than 290 health care professionals are expected to attend the TAOG/ACOG annual meeting, which will be held at the Marriott at the Capitol Hotel.
