College of Medicine Faculty Included in The Best Doctors in America

Skip breadcrumb navigation COLLEGE STATION, Texas (November 17, 2005) – More than 50 faculty members at The Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine are included in the most recent collection of The Best Doctors in America ® database. Faculty physicians from Scott & White Memorial Hospital and the Central Texas Veterans Health Care System in Temple, Texas, the College Station Medical Center and St. Joseph Regional Health Center in College Station, and Driscoll Children's Hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas, are included on the list.

"This recognition represents an acknowledgment of one's wide reputation as someone who provides exemplary patient care,” said Dr. Walter Dyck, Scott & White's chief academic officer and executive associate dean on the A&M College of Medicine Temple campus. "It also recognizes the candidate's contributions to the education of future physicians and the creation of new knowledge."

The Best Doctors in America database includes more than 50,000 specialists in more than 30 countries. In the United States, Best Doctors has identified 33,000 of the top physicians. The database includes the top three to five percent of specialists in each country. With the belief that physicians are the most qualified to evaluate their peers, the Best Doctors asks physicians, "If you or a loved one needed a doctor in your specialty, to whom would you refer them?"
