COM Co-hosts Gathering of Adult Stem Cell Experts in Austin
Thanks to the Texas A&M Health Science Center (HSC) College of Medicine, Scott & White Healthcare System and the International Society for Cell Therapy, 135 international and regional regenerative medicine experts from countries such as Italy, Hungary, Germany, China and Japan gathered in Austin from Thursday, November 12 through Saturday, November 14 to discuss the latest developments in research on the adult stem and progenitor cells referred to as “mesenchymal stem cells” (MSCs).

Sherwood to Lead College of Medicine as Interim Dean
Edward J. Sherwood, M.D. has been chosen to lead the Texas A&M Health Science Center (HSC) College of Medicine as interim dean and Vice President for Clinical Affairs by HSC President Dr. Nancy W. Dickey. His full-time appointment became effective Friday, October 16.

Colenda Accepts Position at WVU Health Sciences Center

Letters from Over There: Alumnus Brett Chamberlin Checks in From Iraq
