Education

Our Department is committed to education. We believe our greatest asset is the students and trainees who have chosen to pursue their training in our Department. Our Curriculum integrates clinical rotations with seminars.

When we developed our residency program in General Psychiatry in 1992, we wanted it to be the one we would choose if we were starting our training now. That ideal also shapes our new residency program in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. With our post-doctoral programs in Clinical Psychology and Research, personal attention, excellent role models, and a warm atmosphere combine to provide a depth of experience for the post-doctoral fellows.

Through the required courses we teach in all four years of the medical school curriculum, our faculty members try to help each student become the best physician he or she can be. In that effort, we provide structured instruction, individual supervision, and a mix of clinical and didactic experiences. We would be delighted to tell you more about any of the opportunities to pursue education and training in our Department.
