The goal of the Texas A&M HSC College of Medicine Graduate Student Organization (GSO) is to encourage student participation in the affairs of The College of Medicine, The Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, The Texas A&M University System Health Science Center, and Texas A&M University, thus enhancing the quality and scope of graduate research education. The GSO shall also promote communication between the administration, system schools, and student body.

Purpose of the GSO

  1. The purpose of this organization in achieving the aforementioned mission shall be:
  2. To serve as the voice of the graduate student body of the College of Medicine.
  3. To prepare, coordinate and execute an annual HSC Graduate Student Research Symposium.
  4. To interact with faculty and representatives of the other branches of the HSC to optimize graduate student participation in the annual HSC Graduate Student Research Symposium.
  5. To ensure the maintenance of open lines of communication between graduate students, administration and faculty.
  6. To further the careers and intellectual development of the graduate student body.
