Internal Medicine Interest Group
The Internal Medicine Interest Group's purpose is to introduce the world of Internal Medicine and its many countless possibilities to students. During the year, meetings are designed to spark student interests as well as provide an education in the field of Internal Medicine. Exposure is gained through both a university and community setting as we interact with many practicing physicians in the area. Through these activities we hope to expose students to a rewarding and exciting career in Internal Medicine.
Many of the opportunities we offer include meetings that educate on the many disciplines of Internal Medicine as well hold social events to have students, physicians and faculty meet and interact. In addition, the IMIG holds reviews after each second year block that is a valuable tool in preparation for the USMLE Step 1.
