November 2018: Assistant Dean for Student Affairs
Colleagues,
I am happy to announce the appointment of Thi Cao, MD, to serve as assistant dean for student affairs for the Dallas Campus. Dr. Cao will support Gary McCord, MD, and Cristie Columbus, MD, in the delivery of student services for College of Medicine students at the Dallas regional campus.
Dr. Cao will continue her administrative service as the co-director for the internal medicine clerkship, the preceptorship portion of practice of medicine, and the capstone project. We welcome her expertise and strong sense of student advocacy in this new role and look forward to the enrichment it will bring to the Dallas campus.
Dr. Cao received her undergraduate degree from Baylor University in Waco, Texas, and her medical degree from University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. She completed her internal medicine residency at University of Texas at Houston, where she served as chief medical resident. She is on the faculty at Baylor University Medical Center as well as an assistant professor for the Texas A&M College of Medicine. She is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is a hospitalist with Hospital Medicine of Dallas.
Please join me as we offer congratulations and gratitude to Dr. Cao for accepting this new role.
Sincerely,
Amy Waer, MD
