Preparation

  • Find a project and a mentor
  • Review scope with Texas A&M Compliance Office: Melissa Kahl-McDonagh, PhD and/or the Baylor Scott & White Research Office: Theresa Quesada and Laura Carter
  • Create your poster, presentation or scholarly paper. (If you submit your paper to an open access journal, there is a mechanism at Texas A&M — through the Oak Fund — to reimburse your mentor for publication costs if their application is accepted)

Submission Guidelines

  • Include name, title and email of faculty mentor
  • All podium presentations need to be Power Point based
  • Please note if you will bringing a printed poster or using a digital version
  • Your project may have been presented or published previously
  • Your project may represent any of the following:
    • Original research of any type
    • Case series or case report with evidence-based literature review
    • A quality improvement project for which you have at least preliminary data
    • A systematic review/meta-analysis of the literature
    • A community-based project/advocacy project for which you include the evidence-based rationale and population health statistics which provide the basis for the project
