• What is the Outstanding Staff Award?

The purpose of the Outstanding Staff Award is to recognize a staff member for their dedication, enthusiasm, accomplishments and contributions to the college. Up to two award winners will be named and each receives a plaque of appreciation and a check for $1,000.

  • Who is eligible for the award?

Nominees must be full-time, budgeted staff members with at least two years uninterrupted service with the College of Medicine. Full-time staff members whose primary responsibility is in support of the College of Medicine but who are paid through clinical affiliate contracts, are also eligible. Unit directors, deans, faculty, students and members of the selection committee are ineligible for the award. Staff members are eligible to receive the award only once every five years.

  • How will recipients be chosen?

Outstanding staff award recipients will be chosen based on statements justifying reasons why the individuals merit special recognition. Selection criteria includes knowledge of job, team work, customer service, enthusiasm and dedication.

  • Who can nominate an employee?

Any member of staff in the College of Medicine may submit a nomination.

  • Presentation of Awards

The award will be presented at a College of Medicine Holiday Reception in December.
