The Department of Neuroscience & Experimental Therapeutics focuses on brain development, cellular/molecular basis of drug addiction, circadian biology, ocular pharmacology and experimental therapeutics.

Institute of Biosciences and Technology

The Institute of Biosciences and Technology is organized into centers of research excellence that focus on cancer, genomics and disease, developmental biology, birth defects and infectious disease.

Medical Education

The Department of Medical Education serves as a centralized source to develop and promote our key/core faculty medical educators by providing professional mentoring, career development and collaborative scholarly research opportunities.

Primary Care & Population Health

The Department of Primary Care & Population Health faculty is devoted to clinical practice, teaching and research. The department is composed of academic internists, geriatricians, palliative care physicians who care for patients and families within our regional campus communities.


The Department of Psychiatry is committed to improving the health of individuals and populations through academic psychiatry. Through advancements in clinical care, medical education and research, the department impacts our understanding of the brain and behavioral health across the priorities of rural medicine, military medicine, engineering medicine and beyond.
