Education for Healthcare Professionals
The mission of the Education for Healthcare Professionals (EDHP) is to educate healthcare professionals and researchers to be exemplary educators and leaders possessing qualifications necessary to advance knowledge and technologies that improve healthcare globally.
The purpose of the Graduate Program in Education for Healthcare Professionals (EDHP) is to provide the training necessary to produce effective leaders in health professions education. Accordingly, the program recruits health professionals who have, or are preparing for, educational leadership positions but who lack formal training in education and/or leadership.
From the Director
"The demand for health professions in Texas is higher than ever. With this growth comes the need for more educators in these professions. Through an innovative collaboration of the Colleges of Medicine, Nursing and Dentistry, the Master of Science in Education for Healthcare Professionals (EDHP) prepares a new generation of health professionals to teach and to become leaders in their profession. Having co-directors at each of the Colleges assures that online courses meet the standards and rigor of an excellent program."
