Morning Report

Mornings start with a quick “bell ringer” and then a resident gives a presentation. This is usually an interesting case from the service they are working on, with a brief discussion of the disease and disease management to follow the case presentation.

Didactics

Every Wednesday afternoon is protected learning time from noon to 5 p.m. where all residents (other than one alternating upper level that covers the hospital) attend lectures from community preceptors and our residency attending physicians. Lectures are typically an hour long and will vary weekly, with frequent lectures given by pediatricians, ER physicians, neonatologists, OB-GYN’s, orthopedists, podiatrists, allergists and ENTs, as well as other specialists.
