OUR MISSION

We are dedicated to transforming lives through health care by educating the next generation of physicians and thought-leaders in medicine, as well as through three key impact areas: military health, rural population health and technology-supported innovation for health and health care delivery.

THE IMPACT OF SCHOLARSHIPS

Scholarships within medicine have an incredibly profound impact on the future of the profession and the future of patients. A student’s ability to focus on their studies and select a specialty without the burden of crippling student loan debt allows the next generation of physicians to dedicate their careers to the areas with the greatest impact, such as rural population health and primary care.

CELEBRATING OUR HISTORY

The Texas A&M College of Medicine was established in 1977 as a result of the Teague-Cranston Act, a federal bill that created five U.S. medical schools in conjunction with existing Veterans Affairs hospitals to meet the needs of the medically underserved areas of the country. With 40 years of history to build upon, the college is re-committing to its charter to more fully deliver on its promise of excellence in medicine.
