Ethan Hallmark (son of Matt '93 and Rachel Hallmark '95) was diagnosed with Stage 4 High-Risk Unfavorable Neuroblastoma in July 2010, at the age of 9. Four exhausting years later, Ethan lost his battle to this cancer. Ethan's story of fighting cancer was heartbreaking and agonizing, as the treatments were often brutally painful and tormenting. Through it all though, Ethan stood firm, never once showing any sign of giving up. Despite passing away at just 13 years old, Ethan touched the lives of countless people around him.

In honor of Ethan Hallmark, a permanent scholarship in the Texas A&M College of Medicine has been established by his family and friends and supported by Trinity Industries, Inc.
