    2. School of Graduate Studies graduate students whose primary advisor is not a College of Medicine Faculty
    3. Anyone not included under (1)
  • Types of TAMHSC accounts

    a. Full TAMHSC account
    i. This type of account is limited to principal faculty, unless otherwise
    justified
    ii. This type of account will not be assigned unless requested or there
    is an obvious need for it by the new faculty member
    iii. Full TAMHSC accounts provide:
    1. Access to your medicine.tamhsc.edu e-mail account
    2. Access to the TAMU System Libraries
    3. Access to Blackboard
    b. Pass-through TAMHSC account
    i. All faculty must have at least this level of account, so the
    administration to contact you with important faculty announcements
    ii. A pass-through account provides:
    1. An e-mail address with a medicine.tamhsc.edu domain
    address
    2. A pass-through from this address directly to your preferred
    e-mail account. E-mail for these accounts will not be housed
    in TAMHSC mail servers.

  • What a TAMHSC account does NOT provide

    Access to discounted software through the TAMU bookstore, unless you

    b. Discounts on tickets for any athletic or other TAMU events, unless you are
    a paid TAMHSC employee.

  • How to obtain a medicine.tamhsc.edu domain address

    Affiliate Faculty
    i. Submit requests to the College of Medicine Office of Academic
    Affairs (Crystal Perkkio, cgperkkio@medicine.tamhsc.edu)
    ii. All faculty appointed after January 1, 2010 will automatically have a
    request for e-mail address made for them by the Office of
    Academic Affairs during the appointment process
    1. Affiliate faculty will receive pass-through accounts unless
    there is need for a full HSC account
    iii. All Principal Faculty will provide information for accounts
    b. Staff
    i. The department should submit requests to HSC-OIT directly
    c. Students (Non-Medical)
    i. Registrar provides request to HSC-OIT at time of enrollment
    d. Students (Medical)
    i. Registrar provides request to HSC-OIT at time of enrollment
