Eligibility I am an undergraduate student at another institution, can I apply? Yes. Complete the application and indicate which location you would like to work.
Eligibility I am a master's degree student at the Texas A&M Health Science Center or at another institution, am I eligible for the program? Unfortunately the program is only for students who have yet to obtain a bachelor's degree.
Dates I want to travel for the summer, are the dates or hours flexible? No. All program participants must perform full-time research in the laboratory if accepted into the program.
Poster session Can I skip the poster session at the end of the program? No, it is mandatory in order to complete the program.
Seminars Are the weekly seminar sessions mandatory? Yes.
Mentors Should I contact the mentor prior to applying? Undergraduate students are encouraged to contact potential PIs and discuss availability and project ideas, however this is not mandatory.
Research Type I am interested in clinical research, does that count?  A research project will have a hypothesis, methods of data collection, and a conclusion. Most faculty have experience in deriving such projects. Lastly, the mentor must be affiliated with the Texas A&M System College of Medicine.
Location Which Summer Research Program sites can I participate at? Any faculty members of Texas A&M College of Medicine are eligible as mentors. We have sites in Temple, Houston, Bryan and College Station.
Housing If I am from out of town or wish to work at another location, is there housing available for the summer? Housing is provided in Bryan-College Station and Temple. Housing is NOT provided in Houston.
