Phase IV / 4th Year Curriculum

Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine students must complete 40 weeks of instruction during Phase IV (4th Year) including sixteen (16) weeks of Required Rotations/Courses for all students and twenty-four (24) weeks of Electives.

50% of electives must be chosen from the Recommended lists for specific career choices and at least 12 weeks (50%) must be done on a TAMHSC COM campus or at an affiliated training site. No more than a total of twenty (20) weeks of Phase IV/4th year may be done off campus.

*NOTE: Evaluation of all 4th year Electives on One45 is required to obtain academic credit for all electives and required rotations. This includes on-campus, off-campus and Student Initiated Electives.
