Craig serves as the Phase II Curriculum Coordinator for the Department of Humanities in Medicine. In addition to his teaching duties in the department, Craig is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Hospice Brazos Valley, a non-profit based community hospice serving 17 counties. He previously served for 20 years as the Senior Pastor of Peace Lutheran Church in College Station , Pastor of Grace Lutheran Church, New Orleans , Louisiana and Special Assistant to the President of Lutheran Social Services of the South, a social service agency of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). Craig is an ordained pastor on the clergy roster of the ELCA. He is also a member and faculty advisor for the Arnold P. Gold Humanism in Medicine Society.

Education

Craig received his Ph.D. from Texas A&M University in 1996. He holds additional graduate degrees from Wartburg Theological Seminary, Dubuque , Iowa and Loyola University , New Orleans Louisiana . He completed his undergraduate work at the University of Texas at Austin .

Craig is married to Chris. They have two children, Emilie and Josh.
